Open Access Publication Fee Support Program – Three Students Published

May 7, 2021 by Department of Geography & Planning

Twice per year, the Graduate Department of Geography and Planning runs an Open Access Publication Fee Support Program. The intent of this fund is to increase access to research lead by our graduate students. Through OA publishing, our students’ articles are accessible to anyone with unrestricted Internet access, thus allowing for a broader engagement with their work. This academic year we supported three scholars in publishing their work using the OA model:

Day, A. (2020) “Examining Indigenous perspectives on the health implications of large‐scale agriculture in Jalisco, Mexico”, The Canadian Geographer, DOI: 10.1111/cag.12642  (Supervisor, Professor Kathi Wilson, UTM)

Kaufman, A. “Canadian homeless mobilities: Tracing the inter‐regional movements of At Home/Chez Soi participants”, The Canadian Geographerhttps://doi.org/10.1111/cag.12658 (Supervisor, Professor Alan Walks, UTM)

Zendel, A. (2020) “There are no days off, just days without shows”: precarious mobilities in the touring music industry”, Applied Mobilities, DOI: 10.1080/23800127.2020.1827516 (Supervisor, Professor Deborah Leslie, UTSG)

Congratulations to Angela Day, Andrew Kaufman, and Adam Zendel!
