The 28th Annual Friends of Planning Spring Social, hosted by the Planning Alumni Committee (PAC) and the Department of Geography & Planning, took place on April 4, 2024. Over 200 alumni, faculty, and city builders gathered for an evening of engaging conversations and insightful dialogues.
This year's keynote presentation, "Pro-Housing, Pro-Transit, Pro-People," delivered by architect and urban planner Naama Blonder, set the stage for a thought-provoking discussion. Following the keynote, a panel discussion moderated by Eric Wainwright, COO of Storeys, engaged attendees in exploring pressing urban challenges.
PAC, a non-profit volunteer organization, consists of graduates of the Master of Science in Planning (MScPl) program committed to fostering connections and advancing fundraising efforts. Through mentorship, participation in student activities, and support for scholarships, PAC enhances the educational journey of current planning students.
The generous support of our sponsors this year will empower the MScPl program and its students to shape a more inclusive and sustainable future. We look forward to continuing the PAC tradition of providing a platform to highlight a pivotal planning topic in 2025!
