How to submit an application

The Department of Geography and Program in Planning may hire Sessional Lecturers to deliver some of it’s courses. Specific courses will be posted above and on our Departmental bulletin board outside the main office on the 5th floor of the Sidney Smith Building. To be considered for a position, please refer to the specific postings above for further details. General Information

Hiring decisions for courses offered during the Winter Session (September – April) are usually made in the preceding October – January period. For summer courses (May – August), hiring decisions are usually made in the preceding January – March period. However, some decisions may be made earlier or later than these times, depending on circumstances. Unexpected vacancies may arise at any time.

Applications will be retained for sixteen (16) months. Persons who submit applications and CVs will receive emailed job postings for specific positions for the subsequent sixteen (16) months.

This notice is posted pursuant to the CUPE Local 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement.

Please note than in accordance with that agreement, preference in hiring is given to qualified persons holding the rank of Sessional Lecturer II.
