Mercedes Sharpe-Zayas (MScPl 2016) to receive the ACSP Marsha Ritzdord Award

Congratulations to Mercedes Sharpe-Zayas who will receive the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning's Marsha Ritzdorf Award for the Best Student Work on Diversity, Social Justice and the Role of Women in Planning at the November 2016 ACSP annual meeting in Portland, Oregon.  The award recognizes superior scholarship reflecting concern with making communities better for women, people of color and/or the disadvantaged.  Mercedes is receiving the award for her professional planning report  on "Equity in the Time of Precarity: Inclusive Local Economy Projects in Toronto’s Neighbourhood Improvement Areas".
