Lauren Jewett receives the Health System Impact Fellowship – A first for geographers!

PhD student Lauren Jewett has been awarded the Health System Impact Fellowship, making her the first geography student ever to receive the fellowship across Canada!

Under the supervision of Prof. Michael Widener, Lauren’s project focuses on integrating geography to evaluate health inequalities across urban, rural , and remote Canada.  Her fellowship placement is with the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) in their Canadian Population Health Initiative branch.
