GGAPSS Fundraiser ends May 31st – thank you for all donations

A message from our Graduate Student Association, GGAPSS, regarding the COVID-19 Emergency Student Fund:

The Graduate Geography and Planning Student Society (GGAPSS) would like to thank faculty and staff for their generosity in supporting the GGAPSS Emergency Student Fund. As of this morning, we have raised $4,350 with your contributions.

With additional thanks to the Graduate Chair and the Faculty of Arts and Science, we are excited to announce that the Department will be matching donations made to the fund up to our funding goal of $5,000

This will provide GGAPSS with a total of $11,500 to provide short-term relief to graduate students who urgently need support, including self-identified international students, low income students, Indigenous students, Queer and trans* students, students of colour and students with disabilities.

Thank you, again, for your generosity.

Please note:

The GGAPSS fundraiser will end on May 31st.

Please note that the Department of Geography & Planning will provide a 1:1 match to their $5,000 goal. GGAPSS will control the allocation of these resources using the criteria that they have developed.

Donations can be sent via secure e-transfer to ggapss@gmail.com. For more information on this initiative click here.
