INDIG-U-KNOW? Indigenous Conference & Pow Wow

March 9 - March 10

The Scarborough Campus Students’ Union is proud to present it’s first ever Indigenous Studies Conference and Pow Wow at the University of Toronto – Scarborough: Indig-U-Know.

Indig-U-Know is an excellent opportunity to bring students, academics, service providers, and staff together to learn from the members of the rich Indigenous Scarborough and UTSC community who will be there to share stories, knowledge and their wisdom.

Over the course of two days, you will be able to participate in various workshops, panel discussions, keynote lectures, breakout groups, and artistic performances, ending with a traditional Pow Wow. The Pow Wow will be held on March 10 and is a free event! The grand entry is set to take place at 12:00pm.

We believe that building community and knowledge comes from creating welcoming spaces and meaningful dialogue through reconciliation. We have partnered with our campus Elder, Wendy Phillips, Indigenous and non-Indigenous staff, faculty and students, and student disability groups from across the city to put on this conference.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Please don’t hesitate to email indigenous@scsu.ca for any questions or concerns. Tickets can be purchased here.
