COBS-SWO-Standard Populated Places 2008

Context: The geodatabase is based on large city data  from 1:1,000,000 Atlas of Canada Framework data and mid to small town data Ministry of Transportation Digital Cartographic Reference Base (DCRB) data. The result is a point data set which is cartographically appropriate for map-making at scales of 1:250 00 to 1:900 000.  The data set provides reference points for regional and local scale maps.

Process: The above-named data sets were clipped to the southwest Ontario extent.  The towns were then classified according to their population to 1 of 5 codes.
