Getting Involved

There are many ways that you can engage with the alumni community. Here are a few of them.

Join the Executive

The Executive of UTAGA  meets a least four times a year in the evening and welcomes new members. For a list of current members, see The Executive Committee Page. The Executive consists of a Chair, a Secretary, members-at-large, and the current chair of the Department of Geography. There is no formal application to become a member of Executive.  Just send your name to mariange@geog.utoronto.ca  and we will send you the meeting schedule so that you can drop in and see what’s involved.

Lead a GeoTrip:

GeoTrips are themed walks usually led by someone who has a specialized knowledge of a particular place in the Greater Toronto Area. We would love to hear your GeoTrip idea, and help organize and promote the walk.  Recent walks include trips to Long Point on Lake Erie and Toronto’s lost river Garrison Creek.
